O foolish Americans…Easter was not the resurrection of Jesus the Messiah

Mark 16:9 Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.

1 Corinthians 15: 20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

Jesus resurrected on the first day of the week fulfilling Firstfruits. The first day of the week is Sunday on God’s calendar and Firstfruits always fell after Passover. This is a fact. Passover started Friday March 30th and Firstfruits will fall on Sunday April 8th. Now tell me why Christians will still celebrate Easter and honor today as the day Jesus resurrected? Is this just a bad April Fools joke? You can go to church today and every Christian will either say “Happy Easter” or “Happy Resurrection Day”. You are probably seeing meme’s all over social media with the same jargon. But only one of those days is right as far as today goes. So as everyone celebrates today as the resurrection of Jesus, know this…its not for another week. Whose resurrection are they celebrating today?

Below is from Ligoner Ministries

“You shall eat neither bread nor grain parched or fresh until this same day, until you have brought the offering of your God: it is a statue forever throughout your generations” (v. 14).
– Leviticus 23:9–22

Passover was not the only spring festival celebrated under the covenant, for the Israelites also commemorated the Feast of Firstfruits and the Feast of Weeks, or Pentecost. The Feast of Firstfruits actually took place during the week-long Passover celebration (Lev. 23:4–8), on the first day after the Sabbath that occurred in the midst of the week (vv. 9–11). Pentecost occurred fifty days after that Sabbath (vv. 15–16) and marked the culmination of what started at the Feast of Firstfruits.

As its name indicates, the Feast of Firstfruits marked thanksgiving to God for the firstfruits of the harvest — in this case, the grain and cereal harvested in the spring in ancient Palestine. At this festival, the Israelites offered the very first sheaf of the harvest and were not allowed to eat anything from the crop until they gave its initial portion to the Lord (vv. 9–14). This required a great deal of faith on the part of the Israelites, as they would be giving the offering of firstfruits at a time when not much was ready to be harvested. They had to trust God that He would indeed provide the fullness of grain that had yet to come forth, something that from a human perspective was far from certain given the people’s utter dependence on the right amount of rainfall and so forth to give the best crop.

Somewhere around AD 30, the firstfruits of an even greater harvest issued forth, for it was on the first day after the Sabbath that occurred in the midst of the Passover celebration that Jesus rose from the dead (Matt. 28:1–10). Lest there be any doubt that His resurrection fulfilled the Feast of Firstfruits, Paul tells us explicitly that Christ is the firstfruits of those who will be raised from the dead (1 Cor. 15:20–23). Just as the firstfruits offered to God under the old covenant anticipated the fuller harvest to come, the resurrection of Jesus anticipates the bodily resurrection of His people first promised under the old covenant (Job 19:25–27).” (RC Sproul)

Does the evil eye, Easter and April Fools day have anything in common?

Galatians 3:1 “O foolish Galations (AMERICANS WHO FOLLOW THESE FALSE PREACHERS AND TEACHERS), who hath bewitched you (WITH THAT EVIL EYE), that ye should not obey the truth (THE TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST THAT HE WAS CRUCIFIED, BURIED AND RESURRECTED), before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?”

Read on and you will understand why I wrote it that way.

On April Fools Day Christians around the world and the majority of America celebrated Easter with going to Church. They did this by honoring the resurrection of Jesus. There was only one problem, April Fool’s Day / Easter was not the day of the resurrection of Jesus. Resurrection Sunday falls on April 8th, the same day as first fruits. This always happens (historicly) after Passover week and the Passover meal. I imagine some Christians already know this and they still celebrate Easter as the resurrection of Jesus. This year Easter was one week before Passover, last year Easter was on the same day as Passover and in 2016 Easter was actually one month before Passover.

So why do Christians still celebrate the resurrection of Jesus on a day like Easter when it never happened on that day. Especially when being on social media all the time, they have had to at least seen it once explained like this. So with all the Christians celebrating Easter yesterday on April Fool’s Day, who’s Resurrection did they actually celebrate. Did they celebrate the goddess of fertility Ishtar, as it could also be argued that Easter is not related to Ishtar. Or did they celebrate the false Resurrection of someone else? Most Christians will say they honored Jesus but its not on a day Jesus was ever honored. Yes we should celebrate the resurrection of Jesus everyday, but then I would argue, why celebrate it on one particular day? Like Easter…

Yesterday in Jerusalem Christians gathered for Easter celebration at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Old Town Jerusalem. This was the same church that was just recently rebuilt last year just in time for Easter by King Abdullah II of Jordan. He has much stock put into this church. If you do not understand the custodial rights of the hashemites you may not get any of this. So not only did Christians celebrate yesterday at this church where they believe was the death burial and resurrection of Jesus, they await the Holy Fire on April 7th at the same church. I wrote about it last year and I will post the link here (https://www.google.com/amp/s/hiddeninthecrag.com/2017/04/15/the-rapturous-strange-fire/amp/#ampshare=https://hiddeninthecrag.com/2017/04/15/the-rapturous-strange-fire/) and I want to leave you with this little excerpt.

“The miracle of Jesus Christ Resurrection happened again. The Holy Light or Holy Fire appeared in the the Tomb of Jesus in Jerusalem. Orthodox Christians, thousands of pilgrims and locals, rejoice. The Holy Fire ceremony in the Church of Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. The Holy Fire is the most renowned miracle in the world of Eastern Orthodoxy. It has taken place at the same time, in the same manner, in the same place every single year for centuries. No other miracle is known to occur so regularly and so steadily over time. It happens in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, the holiest place on earth, where Christ was crucified, entombed, and where He finally rose from the dead. It is a real miracle as it occurs at Holy Saturday noon, although the date varies each and every year.” (http://www.keeptalkinggreece.com/2017/04/15/the-miracle-of-holy-fire-2017-videos-jerusalem/)

So this “holy fire” happened today/yesterday at the church of the holy sepulchre. This is where Christians claim Jesus was buried and rose from the dead. It is crucial to know that this was not and is not the place of Jesus’ burial. Historically this is where John Hyracanus was buried, an Hasmonean high priest in the Temple who forced mass conversions of Edomites to Judaism. This is why you now see so many “Jews” who are actually Edomites. It’s hard to tell now a days who are the real Biblical Jews in Jerusalem.

This is not a miracle AGAIN as the article states. This is a strange fire like in Leviticus 10 that has been accepted by Christendom as authentic. We saw last year that King Abdullah II of Jordan was one of the main benifactors to pay for this restoration just in time for this years Easter (Ishtar) fire. (https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1101360146640203&id=519754571467433) So the Hashemite/Edomite just got the restoration done in time for all his apostate Christian friends. Let me also add that when you read below about this strange fire, take into consideration the priestly blessing that just took place on Monday/Tuesday (depending where your at) of this last week at the Wailing Wall on the real day of Passover. (http://jewishnews.timesofisrael.com/video-thousands-gather-at-western-wall-for-priestly-blessing/)”

So whose resurrection did Christian celebrate? The American Christians and some Christians all over the world who celebrated yesterday on April Fool’s Day were actually fooled once again. I’m wondering when the love of tradition will end and the love of scripture will begin again. And those Christians that will celebrate the resurrection of Jesus next Sunday when it actually happened, they celebrate it at the wrong site altogether. Jesus was not crucified, buried and resurrected Northwest of the Temple mount. All of this took place on the Mount of Olives where he ascended and where he will come back one last final time. These Christians honor a strange god, Jupiter serapis.

Now look at what Paul said to the Galations once again. Galatians 3:1 “O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?” Take note that this word bewitched in Greek is ἐβάσκανεν (ebaskanen) and is used this one time. It literally means “I give the evil eye”. In our modern day we equate THE evil eye to the all seeing eye. They are one in the same symbolically speaking.

(HELPS Word-studies) 940 baskaínō (from baskanos, “to cast an evil spell, wishing injury upon someone; to bewitch”) – properly, to exercise evil power over someone, like putting them under a spell; (used only in Gal 3:1); (figuratively) captivate (“be spellbinding”), appealing to someone’s vanity and selfishness; “to blight by the evil eye, bewitch” (Abbott-Smith). [In classical Greek, Aristotle used 940(baskaínō) for “bewitching through the use of an evil power.” That is, putting someone under a spell so they no longer could think (act) according to reason.940 (baskaínō) is also associated with envy (so Josephus V:425; Demosthenes 20,24; Theocr. 5,13, ala Abbott-Smith).]”

Vincent Word Studies says this about ebaskanen. “The noun baskania (not in N. T.) in LXX, Wisd. 4 12 (the bewitching); 4 Macc. 1 26 (the evil eye); 4 Macc. 2 15 (slander). See also Plato, Phaedo, 95 B (evil eye). The adjective baskanov (not in N. T.) appears in LXX, Pro 23:6; Pro 28:22(refs2) (having an evil eye); Sir 14 3; 18 18; 37 11 (envious). See also Aristoph. Knights, 103; Plut. 571 (slanderous, a calumniator). Ignatius (Romans 3) uses it of grudging the triumph of martyrdom. The two ideas of envy or malice and the evil eye combine in the Lat. invidere, to look maliciously. The ojfqalmov evil eye is found Mr 7:22. Paul ‘s metaphor here is : who hath cast an evil spell upon you? ”

I will leave you with a commentary from Albert Barnes on this verse.

O foolish Galatians – That is, foolish for having yielded to the influence of the false teachers, and for having embraced doctrines that tended to subvert the gospel of the Redeemer. The original word used here (ἀνόητοιanoētoi) denotes void of understanding; and they had shown it in a remarkable manner in rejecting the doctrine of the apostles, and in embracing the errors into which they had fallen.

Who hath bewitched you – The word used here (ἐβάσκανεν ebaskanen) properly means, to prate about anyone; and then to mislead by pretences, as if by magic arts; to fascinate; to influence by a charm. The idea here is, that they had not been led by reason and by sober judgment, but that there must have been some charm or fascination to have taken them away in this manner from what they had embraced as true, and what they had the fullest evidence was true.

So let me quote Paul and add my own little twist to it. “O foolish Galations (AMERICANS WHO FOLLOW THESE FALSE PREACHERS AND TEACHERS), who hath bewitched you (WITH THAT EVIL EYE), that ye should not obey the truth (THE TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST THAT HE WAS CRUCIFIED, BURIED AND RESURRECTED), before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?”

Honor the literal resurrection of Jesus on the day it happened. Firstfruits.

And I’ll throw this in to. Maybe these Christians will celebrate with Miley Cyrus looking like Ishtar the queen of Heaven. Is this ok too? And notice the resemblance of Ostara from American God’s and Hannah Montana.

  1. NOTHING is as it seems. We have been lied to about EVERYTHING. Jesus was right… I sort of get Jehova’s witnesses now LOL (not celebrating anything). But they have their own delusion also. Us reform/messianic Jews just very not to celebrate anything anymore. PLUS, IT’S CHEAPER… LOL (JOKE). Be blessed 🙂

  2. Great article. So much truth in it. It would have been a blessing to many if you had posted it a few weeks ago and others would have time to think about it , study on it and pray about it . Calendars can be confusing, considering the times we are living in .I know the Heavenly Father see’s and considers this. We live in a sinful matrix of a world.Timelines, everyone has their own timeline of events. Jesus / Yehoshua told us to celebrate his death ,burial and resurrection. We are to celebrate it until He comes. 1 Cor.11:23-26.
