“Gog and Magog symbolize one of many links between the modern business institutions of the City and its ancient history. This is only the most recent of many rebirths, which have long been symbolised by the phoenix on Magog’s shield representing return after fire.”
“Towards the head of the procession you may see two stern but benevolent wicker giants. They are Gog and Magog, the traditional guardians of the City of London, and they have been carried in the Lord Mayor’s Show since the reign of Henry V.
Gog and Magog, or sometimes Gogmagog and Corineus, are descended from mythical pagan giants and their origins lie in mediaeval legends of the early British Kings. The story goes that Diocletian – the Roman Emperor – had thirty-three wicked daughters. He managed to find thirty-three husbands to curb their unruly ways, but the daughters were not pleased and under the leadership of their eldest sister Alba they plotted to cut the throats of their husbands as they slept.
For this crime they were set adrift in a boat with half a year’s rations, and after a long and dreadful journey they arrived at a great island that came to be named Albion, after the eldest. Here they stayed, and with the assistance of demons they populated the the wild, windswept islands with a race of giants.
Some time later Brutus, the great-grandson of Aeneas, fled the fall of Troy and by way of various scrapes arrived at the same islands. He too named them for himself, so we also know them as Britain. With him he brought his most able warrior and champion Corineus, who faced the leader of the giant brood in single combat and eventually hurled him from a high rock to his death. The name of the giant was Gogmagog and the rock from which he was thrown became known as Langnagog or ‘The Giants Leap’. As a reward Corineus was given the western part of the island, which came to be called Cornwall after him. Brutus travelled to the east and founded the city of New Troy, which we know as London.
The full story can be found in Geoffrey of Monmouth’s twelfth century Historia Regum Brittaniae, a largely fanciful history that connects Celtic royalty to the heroic world of the Greek myth by way of the old Welsh legend of King Arthur. The alert reader will have noticed that the fall of Troy was about 2300 years before the reign of Diocletian and that the name Gogmagog is a mangled borrowing from the Old Testament, but these histories were accepted as fact for centuries and would have real importance to the mediaeval participants in the Mayor’s procession.
The custom of carrying effigies and images at festivals is sometimes explained as an echo of the days when the same festival would have revolved around a human sacrifice. The victim was replaced with a symbolic representation, and as the old rites were incorporated into the Church the sacrificial effigy became the saint who had made the sacrifice.”

The LXX tells us something about Gog in Amos 7:1. Thus has the Lord God shewed me; and, behold, a swarm of locusts coming from the east; and, behold, one caterpillar, king Gog.
The Polyglot Greek says “a breed of locusts coming in the early morning, and behold one grasshopper, Gog the king.”
I see locusts in scripture as being symbolic of demonic entities. Interesting how the first bibles like Tyndale and Matthews translated this verse. “after the king had clipped his sheep”.
Matthew Bible – The Lorde God shewed me such a vysyon: beholde, there stode one that made gresshoppers, euen when the corne was shuting forth, after the kinge had clypte hys shepe.
MKJV1962 The Lord Jehovah made me see this: And behold, He is forming locusts at the beginning of the coming up of the late grass; even behold, the late grass after the king’s mowings.

Now let’s go backwards in time.

I’ve read a few Jewish blogs and they are saying some interesting things about the Jewish Gentile sacrifice that took place. They are connecting this botched sacrifice to Daniel 11:14. Now historically this verse is connected to Antiochus Epiphanies on invading Jerusalem, but propheticaly it looks like it is starting to be a match. Remember that this sacrifice was done to stop the Gog and Magog war. In their own words. I know what Gog of Magog represents so I see it differently than them.
Here is what these verses say. I’ll include verse 15 based on the Gog comment.
Daniel 11:14-15
And in those times many shall rise up against the king of the south; and the children of the spoilers of thy people shall exalt themselves to establish the vision; and they shall fail. And the king of the north shall come in, and cast up a mound, and take strong cities: and the arms of the king of the south shall withstand, and his chosen ones shall rise up, but there shall be no strength to stand.
These blogs have focused on “and the children of the spoilers of thy people shall exalt themselves to establish the vision; and they shall fail”. They are meaning the seventy nation covenant crew, the Sanhedrin and these Noahides. Their vision is not the same as other Jews when regarding the building of the Temple. Some Jews don’t want to force any of this while some like Adam Berkowitz are.
And isn’t it ironic it mirrors the time when Moses went to Sinai and stayed with GOD and being that he was their longer than the Hebrews liked, they made Aaron help them build a golden calf. That turned out to be a disaster. You will see in a year from now that they will lose their patience and get this golden calf once again, this time in the firm of a appis red heifer. They really don’t understand the seriousness of any of this.
“What’s coming is really the worst yet. But, before I explain, let me preface it with this reminder. Adam and Chavah did not wait. Had they obeyed Hashem’s command to abstain from eating from the Eitz Da’at Tov v’Ra, it would have been allowed to them on the first Shabbat and the redemption would have arrived. B’nei Yisrael did not wait. Had they ignored the demands of the Erev Rav and not made the Eigel HaZahav, but waited for Moshe Rabeinu to descend from Har Sinai, the redemption would have arrived.
Daniel’s prophecy (11.14) says:
“[At the End of Days]…the sons of the renegades of your people will exalt themselves to bring about the vision but they will fail.”
THEY REFUSE TO WAIT!

This is strange, I actually don’t remember this particular article coming out. Did it somehow slip through the cracks? Who will make this sacrifice? The U.S., Honduras, Guatemela, Mexico? Watch and see what happens to the countries that par take in this blasphemy on Friday. Who is Gog and Magog? Not Russia that’s for sure….
