The Temple Institute has said that this red heifer needs to be only 2 years old. They are wrong. Even their writings clearly say 3 years old, not 2. Why? Because it becomes a heifer at 3 and at 2 it is still considered a calf. Cattle ranchers will tell you this.
R. ELIEZER RULED: THE HEIFER (whose neck was broken) MUST BE NO MORE THAN ONE YEAR OLD AND THE RED COW NO MORE THAN TWO YEARS OLD. BUT THE SAGES RULED: THE HEIFER MAY BE EVEN TWO YEARS OLD AND THE RED COW EVEN THREE OR FOUR YEARS OLD. Parah 1,1
BEN ‘AZZAI SAID, I WILL EXPLAIN: IF YOU SAY SHELISHITH THE MEANING IS ‘THE THIRD’ IN NUMBER TO OTHERS, BUT WHEN YOU SAY SHELASHETH THE MEANING IS ONE THAT IS ‘THREE YEARS OLD. Parah 1,1 (The sages ruled that the red cow should be sacrificed as early as possible; in its third year.)
Jesus fulfilled the red heifer sacrifice at his crucifixion on the Mount of Olives. Jesus ministry was 3 years, not 2. This is where this final 10th red heifer will be burnt. There are debates to where this is at and all make strong cases.
So the heifer that they are basing the 2 year theory off of is an entirely different sacrifice. This is the “calf whose neck is broken to atone for the bloodguilt of the unidentified manslayer (Deut. 21:3)”.
Harut and Marut (Arabic: هاروت وماروت) are the two angels mentioned in the second Surah of the Qur’an, who were sent down to test the people at Babel or Babylon by performing deeds of magic. (Sura Al-Baqara, verse 102). This section is entitled “Al-Baqara” or “The Cow”. COW.
It is interesting that you have a cow reference here that is connected to fallen angels Harut and Marut in the Quran. Cow/bull/heifer worship is evident in every culture and this may be why. People who followed sorcery. So there is a sorcery magick connection here. Evidently they say that this story of Marut and Harut comes from the Midrash. “Allah” said all of the angels had sinned like the humans did, “so the angels elected Harut and Marut from amongst themselves and God gave them human attributes and sent them to earth after commanding them to avoid wine, idolatry, fornication and murder. Harut and Marut eventually succumbed to their human lusts and fell into all of these sins. Consequently, God punished them for their transgressions.”
Think Jannes and Jambres type characters or the “two witness’ false eschatology of today.
“English Orientalist and scholar David Samuel Margoliouth asserted that Harut and Marut were none other than Jannes and Jambres, the two magicians mentioned in II Timothy 3:8 as being the Egyptian magicians who withstood the Prophet Moses in the court of Pharaoh in Exodus 7:8-12”
