2024: the year of many things

2024:
The Hebrew year for 2024 is 5784. It started around the fall of 2023. I suspect this calendar was manipulated during the Babylonian siege and imprisonment. The Talmud is associated with all of this. If you add a thousand years you come to 6784.

The Assyrian year is 6774. It is 990 days longer. Almost 1,000 years. It starts in the spring with the Biblical civil calendar. 1 Nisan or 1 Nīsān. Same thing. Some scholars date from the creation of Adam, 4750 BC. Some claim that the cuneiform tablet dating to 4750 BC mentioned the year of the calming of the great flood and beginning of life. The creation of Adam to the flood was and 1656 years. From the food to dry land it was 371 days. Thats an extra  2,027 days added on. That makes 2024 the Assyrian year 6,777 based on that cuniform theory. Very close to what they claim it is.

The Ethiopian year is 2016. It begins on September 11th/12th every year. The 7-8 year gap is based on the annunciation of Mary. This is when Gabriel announced to Mary that she would conceive and bear a son through a virgin birth and become the mother of Jesus Christ. God overshadowing Mary with the Holy Spirit is their start date. Not the birth of Jesus. Their 2012 end of the Mayan calendar event happened in 2020.

Here is the youngest calendar to date. 555. The Nanakshahi calendar is a tropical solar calendar used in Sikhism. The year begins on 1 Chet that corresponds to 14 March. The reference epoch of the Nanakshahi calendar is the birth of Guru Nanak Dev, corresponding to the year 1469 CE. Nanak is said to have travelled far and wide across Asia teaching people the message of Ik Onkar (ੴ, ‘One God’), who dwells in every one of his creations and constitutes the eternal Truth. He would not believe that Jesus was the Way, the Truth and the Life. He would not believe that Jesus is the Resurrection. He did not believe in the virgin birth. Some Sikhs believe he was the second coming of Christ.

Let me add one last thing. The Chinese year. The first day of Chinese New Year begins on the new moon that appears between 21 January and 20 February which is marrying the end of winter and the beginning of their Spring. According to legend, Chinese New Year started with a mythical beast called the Nian (a beast that lives under the sea or in the mountains) during the annual Spring Festival. The Nian would eat villagers, especially children in the middle of the night. Sounds like Chronos or Saturn right? 2024 is the year of the wood dragon. Wood symbolism in the Bible is connected to sacrifice. Jesus was crucified on a tree, ending what Adam had started. The dragon is always symbolized as Satan. In this case, the wood dragon resembles the nachash or serpent in the garden. Year of the Dragon.

I thought all of that was interesting…
